Indian OEM and IoT brand Smartron has collaborated with Flipkart as the Design & Engineering partner for Billion Capture+ smartphone. With this partnership, Smartron aims to extend the tronX ecosystem to third party brands.

tronX is India’s first AI powered IoT platform and through this partnership, Smartron will extend all these capabilities to the users of the Billion Capture+ devices in the future.

Billion Capture+ will go on sale from 15 November onwards through Flipkart. It runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat out-of-the-box which will be later upgraded to Android 8.0 Oreo. It runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 Octa-core processor.

The smartphone has 3GB/4GB RAM with 32GB/64GB storage which is expandable up to 128GB through a MicroSD card.

The metal body Billion Capture+ features a 5.5-inch FHD (1920x1080) with 2.5D Dragontrail glass on top. The major highlight of the smartphone is the dual rear camera. It sports 13-megapixel dual-rear camera where one is a monochrome sensor and other an RGB sensor. The rear camera can click pictures in Potrait mode, and with the dual-tone flash clicks good images in low-light condition. On the front is an 8-megapixel selfie-camera.

The dual-SIM handset is backed by a 3500mAh battery which the company claims can last up to two days. The phone also supports Quick Charge which gives you up to seven hours of battery life in fifteen minutes of charging.

In the next tronX update soon, users will have access to a range of highly intelligent, localized and personalized experiences and services through tronX launcher and predictive and assistive voice assistant optimized for Indian languages and accents.

Mahesh Lingareddy, Founder and Chairman, Smartron in a press statement said, “As India’s first global technology OEM and IoT brand, Smartron is committed to building a robust product ecosystem for connected devices in India through “Powered by tronX” program.”
