Case Filed Against BJP MP Navneet Rana Over 'Voting For Pakistan' Statement

A case was booked against BJP Amravati MP Naveent Rana on Friday for her remark "voting for Congress means voting for Pakistan".

Shadnagar Police station filed a case against BJP candidate from Amravati and Lok Sabha MP Naveet Rana under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). As per the police, “We got a complaint from Election Commission's flying squad team, for Violation of Rules.

The complaint was given yesterday. Krishna Mohan, FST of EC who is on election duty has made a complaint against Rana. The case is booked under section 188 of IPC.”

Earlier on Thursday, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi responded to Navneet Rana's attack on Owaisi brothers(him and his younger brother Akbaruddin Owaisi).

While talking to reporters in Hyderabad, Owaisi said, "I’m telling PM Modi to give 15 seconds. Not 15 seconds but take 1 hour. We are not scared we also want to see how much humanity is left in you. What will you do? You will spread chaos, you’ll do what you have done to Mukhtar Ansari, Rakbar. They think Indian Muslims are Pakistani’s and this is RSS ideology."

Navneet Rana's Threatens Owaisi Brothers

BJP leader Navneet Rana on Wednesday had launched attack on Owaisi brothers. During a roadshow in Mahbubnagar, she targeted the Owaisi brothers. Recalling Akbaruddin Owaisi's 2013 statement, she said, "The younger brother says, remove the police for 15 minutes, then we'll show them what we can do. I want to tell them that, dear younger brother, it might take you 15 minutes, but it will only take us 15 seconds. If the police are removed for 15 seconds, neither the young nor the old will know where they came from or where they went."

In 2013, Akbaruddin Owaisi had made a controversial statement. He had said, "if the police were removed for 15 minutes, we (Muslims) would finish 100 crore Hindus."

Navneet Rana had made the "15 second" remark during a public rally in support of Hyderabad BJP candidate Madhavi Latha. She without naming the duo, targeted them during the rally.
