Honda Ye Series EVs Unveiled For China Ahead Of Auto China 2024

Japanese carmaker Honda has unveiled three new EVs scheduled for the Chinese market. The company has introduced these EVs in an all new ‘Ye Series’ consisting of P7, S7 & GT Concept.

In Chinese Ye means “shine brilliantly,” depicting Honda’s vision of shining in the EV segment in China and around the world. Honda will be showcasing these three EVs at the 18th edition of the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition aka the Auto China 2024, which is scheduled to take place in Beijing, China from April 25th to May 5th 2024.


Revealing these three new Ye Series EVs the company shared that it aims to introduce six EVs in this series in China by 2027. Currently the company offers EVs in the Chinese market in the e:N Series. The new Ye Series EVs from Honda will sport a new ‘H mark’ which has been exclusively designed for these new age EVs from Honda.

Sharing this update for the Ye Series EVs the company has shared that these next gen EVs will be based on new platforms that will be developed specifically for EVs in China. These EVs will also get an AI powered assistant.

Ye Series P7 and S7

The Honda Ye Series P7 and S7 EVs are based on an EV specific platform that will be offered in two versions- a single motor rear wheel driver version and a dual motor four-wheel drive version. The company has stated that both these versions will offer “joy of driving.” These EVs will get LED pattern lights on the instrument panel and door panels. Both these models are scheduled to go on sale by the end of 2024.

Ye GT Concept

As the name suggests the Honda Ye GT Concept is a concept car that represents what the company has in store for the future with the Ye Series. The GT Concept has a low and wide silhouette representing the Grand Tourer design of the car. This concept car will feature a far-focus display for the front seat passenger. According to the company this concept will enter production and sales before the end of 2025.
