Priyanka Gandhi tears into Kerala CM, claims he's colluding with BJP

KOZHIKODE: Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday backed her brother and Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi 's assertion that Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan must be colluding with BJP for the Narendra Modi govt not to unleash central agencies on him despite his name being linked to multiple scams .

The remark targeting Congress's INDIA bloc ally came a day after an LDF legislator asked for a DNA test on Rahul to find out if he was a scion of the Nehru-Gandhi family, presumably in retaliation to his comments on the chief minister.

Priyanka said during a campaign rally for Rahul at Kambalakkad in Wayanad constituency that Vijayan was an exception among opposition figures. "Every other opposition functionary is attacked, harassed and put in jail. Cases are slapped on them, but nothing against the CM of Kerala."

She alleged that BJP politicians, too, had been caught with crores of rupees in their cars, but no action was ever taken against them.

She said Rahul, on the other hand, had been bearing the brunt of abuse by BJP, and now LDF, because he had been standing up to them.

"They call him all sorts of names. They abuse him every day. They spread lies about him. They file false cases against him in every corner of the country so that they can harass him. They call his martyred father a traitor, they call his martyred grandmother a traitor, they call his great-grandfather names, and they call his mother names. They attack his family, but he does not stop fighting for you."

She also addressed rallies at Wandoor and Edakkara in Malappuram district.
