Maheep Kapoor: 'I'm not Shanaya Kapoor's mom or Sanjay Kapoor's wife anymore'

Maheep Kapoor , who rose to fame with the reality television series Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives alongside Neelam Kothari Soni , Bhavana Pandey , and Seema Sajdeh , recently shared insights into her experience on the show and life as a Bollywood wife and mother.

When asked about her initial apprehension about starring in the show where she plays herself, Maheep admitted to having concerns about scrutiny, judgment, and being misunderstood.

She told The Indian Express, "It was a big worry for me. My biggest problem is when people don’t understand or get me. I find it very frustrating."

However, Maheep also acknowledged the positive aspects of being part of the show. She expressed gratitude for the love and opportunities she has received, noting that it has given her a sense of identity beyond being known as Shanaya Kapoor 's mom or Sanjay Kapoor 's wife.

"It’s given me my name. I’m not Shanaya’s mom or Sanjay’s wife anymore. I am Maheep Kapoor. So, I’m very grateful for that. It’s given me an identity," she shared.

As Maheep gears up for the third season of Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, her insights into identity, style, and the nuances of life in the spotlight continue to captivate audiences and shed light on the multifaceted world of Bollywood personalities.

The reality series has completed two seasons and is preparing for a third. Since her debut on the show, Maheep has garnered a strong fan following, with her personality being a highlight. As the show gears up for its third season, it has introduced three new celebrities: Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Shalini Passi, and Kalyani Saha Chawla.

Maheep tied the knot with Sanjay in 1997, and the couple has two children, Shanaya and Jahaan.
