10-feet long king cobra rescued in Assam's Cachar district
Guwahati, Jul 19 (IBNS): The Assam forest department on Friday rescued a 10-feet long king cobra from the Chotajalenga village area in Assams Cachar district.
According to the reports, some villagers of Chotajalenga spotted the king cobra and informed forest officials and a team of forest department and the Assam University.
The 10-feet long king cobra weighing about 7.30 kilograms was thereby rescued.
Later, the big snake was safely released in the Borail wildlife sanctuary.
Assam forest department has opened a helpline number (0361-2332830) and appealed to the people to assist the forest department in the rescue of any wildlife at the time of flood or otherwise.
