11 new Covid-19 cases in Ghaziabad, two from Vaishali

Ghaziabad: As many as 11 people tested positive for Covid-19 in Ghaziabad on Saturday, taking the tally in the district to 287. Out of them, two cases were reported from Vaishali and Vasundhara each, and one from Khoda and Loni each. On Saturday, the health department had received 167 samples.

“The two who has tested positive from Vaishali are a 52-year old man and a 36-year old man.

Both contracted the disease from Delhi. A 30-year old man from Khoda also got the disease from a Delhi hospital ” said an official.

The official added, “Others who tested positive and have contact history in Delhi include a 28-year man from Surya Nagar and a 33-year-old bank employee from Syndicate Ashiyana,” added the official.

In Ghaziabad, the number of active cases is 70. Of the 9,789 samples taken till now, reports of 9,281 have been received.
