13 new Covid-19 cases in Arunachal, tally rises to 42

ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday reported four fresh Covid-19 after three persons from Changlang district and one from Aalo in West Siang district were found infected with the virus, a senior government official informed. With this, the total active cases in the state now went up to 41. Nine cases were reported late on Wednesday night.



The four new cases are asymptomatic and were staying in institutional quarantine, health secretary P Parthiban said.

Confirming the cases, the state Directorate of Health Services tweeted, “As on 4.15 pm/June 4/2020, four new cases detected from the quarantine facility. Three from Changlang and 1 from Aalo. All are asymptomatic.”

All four persons had returned from outside the state.

As of now, seven novel coronavirus cases were reported from the state capital, 28 from Changlang district and one each from Lohit, Namsai, Pakke Kessang, Tawang , Upper Siang and West Siang districts, the health secretary said.
