15ft breach destroys crop on 50 acres in Mansa

MANSA: Crops on nearly 50 acres were submerged at Phaphre Bhai Ke village in Mansa after a breach occurred in the Musa drain on Sunday night.


Phaphre Bhai Ke sarpanch Iqbal Singh said the breach was 15 feet wide and caused the paddy and cotton crops of farmers Kala Singh, Nirmal Singh, Harbans Lal, Gurtej Singh, Sajjan Singh, Rajwinder Singh, Maghar Singh and Gurwinder Singh to submerge.

The sarpanch demanded compensation for loss caused by the breach.
