18-year-old killed as truck rams tractor-trolley in Bundi

Kota: A speeding truck bearing Haryana number plate rammed a tractor-trolley killing an 18-year-old boy and leaving three others injured on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday on Kota-Lalsot highway. The accident took place near Adila village under Kapren police station of Bundi district.

The deceased was identified as Harishankar Meena (18), resident of Uniyara village of Tonk district.

A speeding truck with Haryana number plate at around 1.30am hit a tractor-trolley from behind near Adila village, said SHO at Kapren police station, Prakash Nama.

The deceased was travelling in the tractor-trolley along with three others from his village. The three who were injured have been identified as Kishan Meena, Harikesh Meena and Atmaram Gujjar of the same village. They are undergoing medical treatment at MBS Hospital in Kota .

The truck driver fled from the spot leaving behind the truck which has been taken into police custody, he added.

The body was on Sunday morning handed over to family members after post-mortem, the SHO said, adding further investigation into the matter is underway. One of the three injured is reportedly critical in MBS, said ASI Iqbal Hussain.
