2-year-old girl, 3 women killed in Sidhi accident

BHOPAL: A two-year-old girl and three women were killed and five injured after a jeep collided head-on with a bus coming from the opposite direction in Sidhi district on Tuesday morning. Police said that the incident took place near Chandre village under Rampur Naikin police station of the district. A bus with registration number MP 53 P 0395 was going towards Rewa and a jeep with registration number MP 19 E 4537 was going from Hatta to Chamreth when both the vehicles collided head-on near a culvert close to Chandre village, said police.



“The jeep overturned after the collusion killing all four inside it on spot. The injured have been admitted at a hospital,” Rampur Naikin police station incharge Rajesh Pandey told TOI. He added, “The deceased have been identified as Chandrakali Saket, 30, wife of Kamlesh Saket resident of village Dhanha Khaddi, Reeta Saket, 2, daughter of Kamlesh Saket, Kuntu Basor, 26, wife of Phool Chandra Basor and an unidentified woman aged around 45 years”.

The injured include Harilal Gond, 35, Pankaj Singh Gond, 12, Vansh Bahadur, 75, Sunder Lal, 35, all residents of Naudiha Shikargah village and one Munni Basor, 3, resident of Gujred Khedi village, Pandey said. A case has been registered and investigations are going on, he said.
