21 quintal ganja seized in Odisha's Malkangiri, 4 arrested

Malkangiri: In a big breakthrough for the district police, around 21 quintals of ganja were seized from two vehicles on Orkel-Chitrakonda road in Odisha’s Malkangiri today.

During frisking of vehicles on the road, cops seized the contraband worth around Rs 2 crore from a truck and a pickup van. Police have arrested four persons in this connection.

The ganja was being smuggled from Andhra Pradesh to Maharashtra, sources said. Police have initiated investigation to ascertain the involvement of others in the incident.
