26 Yamunanagar shopkeepers fined for no mask

A group of the Municipal Corporation, Yamunanagar-Jagadhri, on Wednesday gave challans to 26 retailers for not wearing covers.

The group likewise got a body of evidence enrolled against three retailers for contradicting the group from directing the examination.

A group headed by MC Zonal Taxation Officer Ajay Wala visited a few markets, including Railway Road, New Market, Khera Mohalla, Railway Station, Kamani Chowk, ITI zone, Sasauli Road, Model Town, Rampura Colony and Azad Nagar in Yamunanagar, and reviewed shops.

“On the whole, 26 businesspeople were discovered not wearing veils during the assessment. We have given them challans and punished them,” Ajay said.

He said a case under Section 188 of the IPC was enrolled against three retailers for restricting the move of the group at the City police headquarters.

Ajay said that on the heading of Dharamvir Singh, MC Commissioner, a drive had been propelled against businesspeople and laborers who didn’t wear covers while working.
