26th BRTC passing out parade held at SPS PTS Kathua

The attestation cum passing out parade of 26th BRTC batch of Constables was held today at S. Prithinandan Singh Police Training School, Kathua. Hon'ble Governor J&K Shri Satya Pal Malik was the chief guest on this occasion who inspected the parade and took salute.


One thousand thirty three recruit constables which represents all district of the State except Kargil.


ADGP (Coord.) PHQ Shri A.K. Choudhary, ADGP (Hqrs.) PHQ Shri A.G Mir, Director SKPA Udhampur Dr. S.D. Singh Jamwal, IGP Jammu Shri Mukesh Singh, Director SSG Shri Surinder Gupta, DIG JSK Range Shri Vivek Gupta, DC Kathua Shri O. P. Bhagat, SSP Kathua Shri Shridhar Patil, AIsG of PHQ, COs of Jammu based Armed Bn., Principals of Jammu based training schools, top civil, army, para military and police officers attended the passing out parade.


Speaking on the occasion Hon’ble Governor Shri Satya Pal Malik said that because of the supreme sacrifices of the officers and personnel,  Jammu and Kashmir Police has become one of the finest force of the country. While, referring to the martyrdom of Inspr. Arshad Khan the then SHO Anantnag the Hon’ble Governor said that due to its valiant and gallant acts JKP have earned the honour and respects of the people of the country, security forces and top leadership of the country including Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Home Minister Shri Amit Shah.


Complimenting the relatives, parents and the passing out constables the Hon’ble Governor said that they are the representatives of the President of the Country and must discharge their duties without any fear and pressure. He said that he is always looking for providing more and more welfare to the families and personnel of the J&K Police particularly the NoKs of martyrs.


Earlier in his address Director General of Police Shri Dilbag Singh while welcoming the Hon’ble Governor thanked his administration for looking after the welfare of the J&K Police. He said that it was during the tenure of the Hon’ble Governor that the ex-gratia to the NoKs of martyrs of Police personnel/SPOs was increased. The DGP said that it was during this year that a large scale of about 4500 officers and personnel were promoted and the promotions for the second phase will be approved and completed shortly. He hoped that the Hon’ble Governor will continue his patronage. He also said that the Hon’ble Governor has taken personal interest in more and more welfare measures for the force. He said that because of the personal efforts of the Hon’ble Governor the hardship allowance was increased twice and ration money was also increased.


While complimenting the passing out constables and their parents / relatives the DGP said that they have contributed to the maintenance of law and order recently and have also got practical training during their deployment for different elections in which they proved their mettle. He said that by joining of 1033 pass outs today the J&K Police will get further boost. The DGP also complimented the Principal and his training staff and the winners of different prizes on this occasion.


In his welcome address Principal SPS PTS Kathua Sh. Arun Gupta highlighted the training courses and different training modules organized by his school for these trainees. He thanked the Hon’ble Governor, DGP, officers of Police, Civil and CAPF for gracing the occasion.

          Constable Rahul Sharma was adjudged all round best Trainee and was granted out of turn promotion. He was decorated with Sg.Ct. rank on the spot by Hon’ble Governor and DGP J&K.


Constable Sushil Kumar and Narinder Singh were declared 2nd and 3rd All Round best and were awarded with Commendation Certificate Class I along with cash reward of rupees ten thousand and seventy five hundred respectively. Constable Sushil Kumar, Constable Ashish Sudan and Constable Sandeep Sharma secured 1st Positions in Indoor, Outdoor and Range classification respectively and were also awarded cash reward of rupees seventy five hundred each along with the commendation certificate Class-I. Parade Commanders Sahil Kumar and Rajesh Singh were also awarded with cash reward of rupees five thousand and three thousand along with Commendation certificate.
