30-year-old man electrocuted at Mumbai's Bhiwandi

MUMBAI: A 30-year-old man was electrocuted after he came in contact with a high-tension wire lying on the road in Mumbai's Bhiwandi on Tuesday morning.


A resident of Padamanagar area, Pawan Parashnath Patel (30), police said, worked as a labourer at a powerloom unit in Bhiwandi.

On Tuesday at 8am Patel, carrying an iron pipe from his house, was going towards his work when he suddenly came in contact with a overhead wire lying on road and got electrocuted.



Looking at him, other passers-by informed a private company, Torrent, that supplies electricity in Bhiwandi. After the firm cut the electricity connection, the locals rushed Patel to IGM Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
