37-year-old woman hangs self in Guntur
VIJAYAWADA: A 37-year-old married woman hanged herself in her residence at Chinna Aravapalli village under Repalle mandal in Guntur district on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Lingamsetti Anjali. According to Repalle sub-inspector Narayana, the incident came to light around 4am.
Narayana said that the woman was last seen going to bed around 9pm.
In the morning, Anjali’s husband Lingamsetti Mallikarjuna and their son found her hanging. Cops said that they are yet to ascertain the actual reason behind the extreme step but Anjali’s parents claimed that Mallikarjuna neglected her.
Preliminary inquiry suggests that Anjali has been depressed for a long time over her husband’s behavior. “We collected statements from Anjali’s family members. One of their main grievance is that they weren’t informed immediately after Anjali was found dead,” Narayana told TOI.

A case under section 174 of CrPC (suspicious death) was registered.
