4 commit suicide in 2 incidents in Kurnool
TIRUPATI: In separate incidents, two couples committed suicide in Kurnool district on Monday.
In the first incident, married couple Mruthyunjayudu (43) and Saraswathi (40), residing at Sadhukottala village in Banaganapalle, were found dead at their home on Monday morning.
According to Banaganapalle inspector Somasekhar Reddy, the couple settled down at Sadhukottala village about 20 years ago after Mruthyunjayudu found job as a priest at a local temple.
Saraswathi was suffering from kidney related ailments and the couple had to borrow heavily for her treatment. Unable to bear the suffering anymore the couple hanged themselves to death. Banaganapalle police registered a case .
In the other incident, reported at Gorukallu village in Panyam mandal, a young couple committed suicide by hanging themselves to a tree in the outskirts of the village. According to Panyam SI Jagadeeswara Reddy, the deceased were identified as M Bharat Kumar (20) and B Peddakka (19). Bharat of Gadivemula and Peddakka of Bandiatmakur both worked as daily wage labourers. They fell in love about two years ago. However, belonging to different castes, the families of the two objected to their relationship.

Unable to bear separation, Bharat and Peddakka lhanged themselves to a tree on Sunday night.
