4 held for Pinjore taxi driver's murder in Panchkula

PANCHKULA: The Panchkula crime branch has arrested the fourth absconding accused in the Pinjore taxi driver murder case.


The accused has been identified as Gobind Ram, a resident of Hanumandgarh, Rajasthan.

The crime branch team, headed by inspector Karambir Singh, arrested the accused from Bathinda.



The cops said the accused was produced before the district court which sent him to four-day police remand to investigate the case further.

Five people dreaming of becoming rich overnight met on Facebook and chalked out a plan to loot a petrol pump, but ended up killing a taxi driver in Pinjore on September 9.

On September 24, the police arrested the four accused, including one juvenile, in connection with the murder case.

The persons arrested earlier were Pawan Gupta

(26) from UP, he worked as a guard at a private security agency in Baddi; Rohit Seth

(18), a photography aspirant working in Mumbai; Shushanto Sardar (19), from Kolkata; and a juvenile from UP
