4-year-old girl's body with burns found in Bijnor
BIJNOR: Amid rumours of child-lifting, a four-year-old girl, who was missing since morning, was found dead in a field at Nagarpur Khadagsen village under Sherkot police station area in Bijnor on Friday afternoon.
Her body bore burn injury marks and it is suspected that she was strangled. It is believed that tantric rituals had been performed on her body.
Police have lodged a case against her unidentified killer.
According to police, the girl was playing outside the house while her mother was busy with household chores. Suddenly, she could not find her daughter anywhere. She informed her husband about the missing child. Family members and villagers together combed the village for the girls. Police were informed.
In the afternoon, a villager spotted her body in a field, a stone’s throw from the village.
Superintendent of police, rural, Vishvajeet Shrivastava said, “The father of the deceased has two wives. Police are probing the matter.”

In neighbouring Amroha, the body of an 11-year-old boy of Chakanwala village under Gajraula police station was found floating in a tubewell on Friday. The boy was missing since Thursday evening. Police suspect that the boy was strangled.
