50-yr-old man found dead on road in Jhalawar

Kota: Blood-stained body of a 50-year-old man with fatal head injuries, was on Wednesday morning recovered from the roadside in Rupaheda village under Khanpur police station of Jhalawar district. The deceased was a notorious history-sheeter and about one dozen criminal cases of various natures were lodged against him in different police stations of the district.



The deceased has been identified as Sagrem Mogiya, a resident of Rupaheda village and was found dead on Wednesday morning on the roadside near his village, said SHO at Khanpur police station Kamalchand Meena. The body bore fatal head injuries with some sharp weapon, clearly indicating that the man was murdered by some unidentified accused last night, who then threw the body on the roadside near the village, he added.

Police have lodged a case of murder against unidentified accused under section 302 of IPC and handed over the body to his family members after post-mortem by the medical board, he added. The deceased was a daily-wage labourer and was also a notorious history-sheeter of the area, with about one dozen criminal cases lodged against him in different police stations of the district, the SHO said.
