A young couple along with their newborn child commits suicide

Ahmedabad: In a recent horrific incident, a young husband-wife allegedly jumped into a well along with their two-month-old child in Surendranagar district of Gujarat. The police confirmed that all three died on the spot. According to a source report, the incident came to light on Friday after the bodies of the couple and their baby was found in the well.

It is worth mentioning here that they went missing on February 24, the Wadhwan police inspector HR Jethi. 

Reportedly, the deceased were identified as 20-year-old Nanka Sapania, 19-year-old Puniben, and their two-month-old Sahil. The police officials told that the deceased were tribals and hailed from Alirajpur district of Madhya Pradesh. The couple had been working as farm labourers at Baldana village from past some time.

It is worth mentioning here that Nanka's father told that couple has left the farm on February 24 saying that they would return in some days. Jethi added as the couple did not return in the promised time, a search operation was launched and finally, the police found their bodies in the well, source reveals. 

However, the police officials are not trying to ascertain the reason behind their extreme step. A case of accidental death has also been lodged in the police station and the further investigation in the case is underway.
