A 'zero-waste' workshop held in Noida

With an aim to raise awareness about reducing waste, a ‘zero-waste’ workshop was held in Sector 31, Noida recently. The workshop was organised by SAAPH – Sustainable Alternatives and Awareness against Plastics and Household waste and conducted by Kanchana Weerakoon- a Sri Lankan who leads a ‘zero-waste’ lifestyle in Delhi.

"The highlight of the workshop was to teach how to make ‘Eco-bricks' with the daily non-recyclable waste. Citizens volunteers working on various environmental causes like water harvesting, Plastic pollution and waste management also attended the meeting," said Supriya Sardana, a resident of Noida and member of SAAPH.
