Action against Kendrapara SP Niti Sekhar: Scribes

Bhubaneswar/Kendrapara: The claimed bad conduct by Kendrapara Superintendent of Police (SP) Niti Sekhar with a columnist has made a furore with numerous writers Thursday dissenting the top cop’s oppression.

The Kendrapara SP landed himself in a contention for losing his cool when he supposedly made trouble with a TV channel correspondent who was available in Patkura to cover Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s roadshow Wednesday.

The working columnists of Kendrapara area arranged an exhibit before the District Collector’s office by wearing dark identifications and raised mottos challenging the police.

Afterward, they presented an update to the area organization routed to the CM, requesting activity against the SP.

“Tragically the SP carried on so impolitely with a working writer and mauled him. He even threatened to slap him. The episode happened when BJD pioneers Pranab Prakash Das, Debi Prasad Mishra and Sanjay Das Burma were available. Afterward, Das Burma interceded and took the SP from the spot,” said a nearby copyist.

In the mean time, a different appointment of writers Thursday met Director General of Police RP Sharma at the DGP Camp office at Bidyut Marg in Bhubaneswar on the issue. The city columnists presented an update looking for stringent activity against Sekhar.

The columnists will Friday present another reminder to Governor Ganeshi Lal requesting stern activity against the failing top cop.
