Address in Aurangabad Global Buddhist meet: Dalai Lama

 

Aurangabad: Tibetan profound pioneer, the Dalai Lama, will convey two talks at the three-day Global Buddhist Congregation to be held in Aurangabad from Friday.

The occasion will occur between November 22 and 24. “The Dalai Lama will be in Aurangabad for two days and will convey two sessions at the Buddhist Congregation,” priest Sadanand Mahasthivir Mahathero, leader of All India Bhikkhu Sangh, told columnists here Wednesday.

“The Dalai Lama will give an extraordinary talk at Chauka in the city Saturday for priests dwelling in Lokuttara Mahavihar. He will convey a talk Sunday at the People’s Education Society (PES) ground, which is open for all,” he included.

The debut service will happen within the sight of Mahanayaka Thero from Sri Lanka. Talks and sessions on different themes identified with Buddhism will be held during the occasion.

Conversing with columnists, boss coordinator of the occasion and improvement official of the state Industries Department, Dr Harshdeep Kamble, stated, “Chats on importance of Buddhism in present day world, Buddhist culture and lifestyle, recovery and reinforcing of Buddhism, Buddhism for youth will be held. It will likewise have other social occasions.”

“Buddhist priests and devotees of the religion from over the globe will go to the meet. We expect a footfall of 1 lakh individuals in three days,” he included.
