After five men allegedly gangraped a woman in front of her husband when she was travelling on motorcycle with him on Thanagaji-Alwar road on April 26 and the video of which was circulated on social media, Rajasthan government came under lot of criticism for not even lodging FIR in case, a couple of more such cases have rocked the state.

Three minor girls have been raped in different parts of the state including one in Alwar where the girl, 15, was raped by three minors on May 14 and in fit of rage, the victim’s family lynched one of the three accused.

The victim had gone to a village in Alwar to attend relative’s marriage.

"While one of the accused managed to flee, the other two were caught by the victims' family members and thrashed the next morning... Few hours later, one of them was found dead on the roadside," SP Paris Anil Deshmukh told PTI.

"The families of the victim and the deceased youth have lodged separate FIRs. Her mother registered an FIR against the three accused, the family members of the deceased registered a case of murder against the girl's brother and others," he added.

The DSP, Behror who is also the investigating officer, Ranjilal said both accused have been detained and sent to juvenile home by a court till May 29.

In another case, an eigth-year-old girl was raped Dholpur on Thursday.

"The victim was staying at her maternal grandfather's home where the accused, identified as Parvesh, 18, raped her. He was caught Saturday," SHO of Mahila Thana-Dholpur Yashpal Singh said.

The opposition BJP is targeting Congress government over failure in protecting women in the state.

"The situation has become alarming in Rajasthan where crimes against women are surfacing daily. The government is totally insensitive and women are feeling insecure in the Congress rule," BJP state president Madan Lal Saini alleged.

"The government should take such cases seriously. At the same time, society should also identify and boycott such elements to ensure girls and women live without any fear," he said.
