Agra: Man stabs brother-in-law in Jagdispura

AGRA: A man allegedly stabbed his brother-in-law to death in Jagdispura . According to police, the accused, Noor Mohammad, had married Nazmeen against the wishes of their parents in January. As his parents disowned him after the wedding, Mohammad wanted his wife to cut all ties with her parents too. However, Nazmeen didn’t want it and when she contacted her brother, Farmaan (25) for help, Mohammad killed the latter.

Mohammad had called the victim, a resident of Sherkhan colony of Etmadpur, to a dilapidated and abandoned building near Kabir Kunj of Jagdispura police jurisdiction where he stabbed him multiple times to death.

“Nazmeen wanted to meet her parents and contacted her brother Farmaan. This infuriated Noor Mohammad and he had a heated argument with his wife. Later, he killed his brother-in-law on Thursday evening,” said a police officer, who didn’t want to be named.

Station house officer of Jagdispura Parvesh Kumar Singh said, “After the incident, the accused came to the police station and surrendered himself. We have booked him under IPC section 302 ( murder ) and have sent him jail.”
