AI flight brings back 68 persons stranded in Bangladesh

VARANASI: Under Vande Bharat Mission of the government of India, 68 persons stranded in Dhaka ( Bangladesh ) were brought here by an Air India flight on Tuesday.

ADM (protocol) Atul Kumar said that the AI flight landed Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport with 68 passengers on board. These passengers were stranded in Bangladesh due to Covid-19 lockdown.



Before the flight landed, the ADM (protocol), along with tourism officer Kirtiman Srivastava and other officials had completed all necessary arrangements for sending them to their homes. Kumar said that the passengers arrived from Dhaka belong to Ambedkarnagar, Basti, Kushinagar , Deoria, Gonda, Bahraich, Pilibhit, Aligarh, Ghazipur, Ballia and Chhapra.

On the basis of the list of their home districts, three buses had been arranged at the airport. After completion of all basic formalities including screening of their health condition they were sent to their places by buses.
