Air India cancels Delhi, Kullu flights for three days

MOHALI: Air India has cancelled its flights on Delhi-Chandigarh-Delhi and Kulu-Chandigarh-Kulu routes for three days (from March 18 to March 21). Operational constraints have been cited as the reason behind cancelations.

In a communication, which the airline released on Sunday, Air India stated that flight number AI-463/464 Delhi to Chandigarh and Chandigarh to Delhi being operated by Airbus 320 Neo stands canceled from March 18 to March 21.

The flight used to land land here daily at 11.15am and depart for Delhi at 12.05pm.

Meanwhile, Air Alliance flight from Kulu-Chandigarh-Kulu operating with ATR aircraft too stands canceled from March 18 to March 21.

Confirming the development, Air India station manager M R Jindal said, "The two flights have been cancelled due to operational reasons. Flights will resume by March 22."

Sources in the airlines have said that operations over airspace above Pakistan have been declared no flying zone after Pulwama attack. Long-distance flights are now forced to alter their routes, which increases flight timings by eight to 10 hours.
