Ajit Jogi to contest from Korba LS seat in Chhattisgarh

Janata Congress founder and former chief minister Ajit Jogi has announced to contest Lok sabha election from Korba constituency in Chhattisgarh.


Jogi, who reached the industrial town of Korba, told reporters that regional party Janata Congress' alliance with Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) would continue in Chhattisgarh for the lok Sabha polls also.

In the last assembly elections, Janata Congress-BSP alliance had won seven seats and secured about 14% vote share.

BSP had already announced its candidates from eight Lok sabha constituencies while JCC is likely to field its candidates for the remaining three seats.
