Ajith stopped shooting of 'Ji' in Kumbakonnam after this shocking incident

After the success of Madhavan-starrer 'Run', director Lingusamy 's next film was with Thala Ajith . The film ' Ji ' had Ajith and Trisha playing the lead roles with Nithin Sathya, Venkat Prabhu and Inigo Prabhakaran playing Ajith friends. Interestingly, during the shooting of the film in Kumbakonam, actor Ajith abruptly asked for the shooting to be wrapped up and never shot for the film again in Kumbakonnam .



The shooting of the film resumed in Coimbatore and other places. While the shooting of the film was happening in Kumbakonnam, the shocking and unfortunate incident of the fire accident happened in a school in Kumbakonnam. Thala Ajith had apparently stopped the shooting immediately after hearing about the news and went to the accident spot and was deeply disturbed. It has come to light Ajith had requested the makers to stop the shooting and head back to the city due to the unfortunate accident that killed 94 young students.

In an earlier interview a few years ago, director Lingusamy had spoken about incident and said that Ajith was there at the accident spot as soon as we heard about the terrible school fire tragedy. Ajith had apparently not bothered about anything else and lent his helping hand to the rescue team.

Meanwhile, the fans are awaiting the release of Thala Aijth's 'Valimai' directed by H Vinoth. Produced by Boney Kapoor, the film stars Huma Qureshi playing the female lead. This film was supposed to release during Diwali this year. But due to the pandemic, the film will now release in the summer of 2021.
