Ajmer region pass percentage goes down by 1.04%

AJMER/JAIPUR: Tisha Gupta of Alwar becomes the only student from Rajasthan to get her name in the merit list of CBSE class XII top three ranks shared by 23 students. She has secured 3rd rank and has been declared Rajasthan topper by the CBSE. She missed the first slot by two marks to Hansika Shukla of Delhi Public School Meerut Road, Ghaziabad.

The third slot was shared by 18 other students who scored 497 marks each.


Kota, known for its success in engineering and medical coachings, has for the first time, outperformed all districts in the state in the CBSE results. Three from Kota district shared the second position in the state with 494 marks. Surprisingly, Stuti Shital Khandala and Atreya Goswami both passed out from a small town Ladpura but from different schools — Disha Public School in Ladpura and Bhagat Public School respectively. Third student — Arpit Chauhan comes from MAA Bharti School Kota, which is popular among IIT aspirants.


Khandala has recently received an admission offer from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She said, “My next aim is to clear JEE-Advanced with flying colours.” Another student who shared the third slot is Jatin Talreja of St Gregorios School, Udaipur, while Muskan Agarwal of Mody Institute of EDN & Research Sikar, stood third in the state merit list.


Jaipur toppers were not much behind the state toppers. Harshita Singh and Vanshika Jain, both from Delhi Public School, have topped in Jaipur in Humanities and Science respectively. They scored 98.4% each. Topper from the Science stream is from Cambridge Court High School, Avantika Agarwal who scored 98.2%.



The pass percentage of CBSE Class XII result for Ajmer region has gone down by 1.04% from the previous year. Ajmer region, which includes Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Dadar and Nagar Haveli, fell from 86.40% to 85.36% this year. This time again, girls outshone boys with the pass percentage for girls at 89.1%, whereas it stood at 82.7% for boys. CBSE this time made a record by declaring the Class XII board result in just 28 days. According to the board, this time about 1,44,127 students in Ajmer region registered for Class XII board exams, of which 1,43,388 students appeared for different subjects, while 739 students remained absent. About 1,21,852 students passed the exam, while 10,391 students failed and 11,117 students got a compartment. Similarly, 58,975 girls appeared in the exam where 52,571 passed with 89.1%. Among boys, 84,413 appeared in the exam where 69,281 passed it.
