Ajmer: Students outraged by fee hike in medical college, threatens not to continue to running class

Ajmer: Medical students in the state are now rallying in protest against the government's fee hike and NRI quota for admission to MBBS at a government medical college in Ajmer, Rajasthan. Students of Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College in Ajmer have threatened to boycott classes on similar issues since Monday following protests.

The students, who were protesting at the state Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College in Ajmer, have threatened that classes will not be allowed in the college. The government's hike in government medical college fees has already threatened the agitation, terming it as an axe on student talent. The students allege that the government is repressing the talent of poor students who choose government medical colleges for low fees by changing the NRI quota policy.

He says if the NRI quota policy is changed, such poor students will have to give up their dream of medical studies. The medical students tried to talk to the Government on their main demands. But C.M. Gehlot and the Medical Minister have not given him time to meet him so far.
