'Alcohol can kill coronavirus in throats': Rajasthan MLA wants liquor shops to reopen

In the midst of the Corona crisis, Congress MLA Bharat Singh Kundanpur from Sangod region of Rajasthan wrote a letter to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot demanding that he reopen liquor shops in the state during the lockdown. In his letter, the Congress MLA has expressed concern that the sale and sale of illegal liquor is increasing due to the non-opening of liquor shops.

In his statement, the MLA wrote in a letter to the CM that due to non-opening of liquor shops, the economy of the state has been broken and due to this, illegal country liquor is being made and sold throughout the state. Singh said that while washing hands with alcohol can clear the covid-19 virus, drinking alcohol will definitely clean the virus from the throat. Therefore, the government should allow liquor shops to open. Also, he said that due to the lockdown, the demand for alcohol in the market is high, so drinkers are welcoming it. The government is losing out on the sale of alcohol, while the health of the drinkers is being threatened.

For your information, let us tell you that in the letter, the MLA also mentioned two reports of the state, in which the first news was of Hailana village in Bharatpur district, where two people lost their eyesight due to illegal country liquor drinking. At the same time, the second news was to increase the excise duty by the government to compensate the losses incurred during the lockdown.
