Alcoholic man found dead inside wardrobe in Ajmer

Ajmer: An alcoholic man was found dead inside a wardrobe in his home on Wednesday, two days after he went missing post an argument with his wife on Monday evening. A case has been registered by the police.

According to police, Rajesh Kumar Koli of Dholabhata was a habitual drinker and was an addict, and as per the neighbours, he would come home drunk often and would fight with his wife.

According to his wife Sapana, on Monday late evening, he came home heavily drunk and had an argument with her. He then went inside but Sapana did not find him in the room.

On Tuesday, she waited for Rajesh to return and when he didn’t return till the evening, she asked about his whereabouts from all his friends and thought he may have gone away somewhere in a fit of anger.

But on Wednesday, when she opened the wardrobe in her room, she found her husband ‘asleep’ in the lower shelf of the wardrobe and he did not move after her repeated nudges. She called the police and it was found that Rajesh was dead.

Police said that after the fight with his wife on Monday evening, Rajesh went inside the room and fell asleep in the wardrobe, as he was heavily drunk, and later died there. The dead body of the deceased has been sent for the post-mortem and police are investigating. Police said that there were several other cases pending against the deceased.
