All religious places in Jammu and Kashmir will open on August 16

Jammu: Due to Corona, lockdown had been imposed in many areas of the country. Meanwhile, all religious places will be opened in Jammu and Kashmir from August 16 after about five months. Processions and religious programs will be banned for the time being. Detailed guidelines regarding this will be released by the government later.

Along with this, gyms and yoga centres will also be opened. They have to follow SOP. New guidelines of unlock-3 were released by the state government on Tuesday, which will remain effective from August 5.

According to the new guidelines, cinema halls, bars, swimming pools, schools and colleges will remain closed for now. Interstate and interregional transport services will also be closed. Inter-state public transport service will be agreed between the cities of Orange and Green zone. The facility will remain effective for the passengers coming in the state. Those arriving by train and helicopter or aeroplane will be home quarantined, while those coming by road will be kept in administrative quarantine for 14 days. The curfew will continue in all the cities from 10 AM to 5 AM.

Except for Bandipora city, entire Kashmir is in the Red Zone. Ramban city of Jammu division is also in the Red Zone. Total of 10 cities is in the Red Zone. The cities of Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Bandipora, Reasi, Udhampur, Poonch and Rajori have been placed in Orange Zone and Doda and Kishtwar in Green Zone. It will be mandatory to follow all the guidelines issued.
