Allahabad: BJP workers celebrate amid massive win

ALLAHABAD: BJP supporters celebrated all day long on Thursday, with the trends and leads in favour of the party candidates in the Lok Sabha polls - which saw a massive win for it across India.


At several places of the city, BJP had installed huge screens to watch the results of the counting across the country.

As the trends came pouring since morning, BJP workers started bursting crackers and dancing on the beats of drums. Everyone was seen dancing and hugging each other and congratulating each other on the party victory.

By evening, BJP workers had assembled at the party office and in localities and chantd slogans like (PM Narendra) Modi Modi and bharat maata ki jai as the celebrations went on.

"We were confident of the win and we had already planned for the celebrations as this is the win of the voters who have welcomed the policies of our popular PM," said office-bearer of the Yuva Morcha of BJP Vinay Kumar Mishra.

Even after the administration had banned the victory celebrations later of the results, the party workers had made arrangment for the celebrations at the party office and the residence of the winning candidate, Rita Joshi from Allahabad and Kesari Devi from Phulpur.

BJP supporters also offered sweets at the temples and later distributed the same among the supporters.

As the party office of the BJP was teeming with party supporters, the offices of the oppositions - SP, BSP, and the Congress - wore a deserted look.
