Ambala man found dead, cops suspect murder

AMBALA: The Ambala police have registered a case of murder after Manish Kumar of Bheron village in Ambala district was found dead under mysterious circumstances on the outskirts of his village on Tuesday early morning.


The police said that Manish did not have any visible injury but blood was coming out from his ear.



The case has been registered on the complaint of Manish's uncle Surta Ram at Shahzadpur police station of Ambala.

Surta said, "On Monday, around 7 pm, my nephew Manish left home for a fair at Gugga Marhi in Kalal Majra and he did not return home. On Tuesday, when I was going for a walk towards the fields I saw Manish lying dead. I informed the sarpanch's husband Shishpal, who called the police."

The forensic experts reached the spot for inspection and the police took the body into their custody for post-mortem.

The police told prima-facie it appears to be a case of murder and investigation will be done from all angles.

The deceased's post-mortem was conducted at Naraingarh civil hospital and after the post-mortem the aggrieved family members protest for around 30 minutes in Shahzadpur and blocked the NH-73 while demanding arrest of the accused. The police reached the spot and managed to pacify the protestors and later Manish was cremated at his village.

The Ambala police registered a case under Section 302 (punishment for murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Shahzadpur to start the investigation.
