Amitabh Bachchan donates Rs 51 lakh to Bihar Chief Minister's Relief Fund after floods

The legendary star Amitabh Bachchan has stepped forward to help people of flood-hit Bihar by donating Rs 51 lakh to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund. The incessant rainfall in the state has created havoc and has affected the normal life of the local people in several districts like Patna, Kaimur and Bhagalpur. The actor also wrote a letter to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressing his concerns.



The letter read as "I am deeply stricken by the natural calamity that has hit the state of Bihar. My deepest condolences and sympathies to all whose lives have been affected in the recent flood. Albeit in a small way, I extend my helping hand to ensure in the restoration of human life in Bihar”.

Apart from Big B, many other celebs like Hrithik Roshan , Abhimanyu Singh , Sushant Singh Rajput and Manoj Bajpayee have also extended a helping hand.

On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan was recently seen doing a cameo role in Chiranjeevi 's ' Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy '. He will be next seen in 'Brahmastra' alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt and later in 'Chehre' and 'Gulabo Sitabo'
