Andhra Pradesh gets 15 prestigious Panchayati Raj Awards

Amravati: Recently, 15 awards have been given to the people of Andhra Pradesh government. In fact, these awards have been given for the improvement programs implemented with the aim of providing better services to the people in the villages. Let us tell you that under the annual awards given every year at the national level by the Central Panchayati Raj Department, the AP has been given these awards for the year 2020.

Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Minister Peddireddy Ramchandra Reddy has expressed his happiness on receiving the prestigious award.

In fact, for the year 2020, AP has been ranked second in the e-panchayat award category - II (A). West Godavari district has been given district level award in general category. Apart from this, Dayal Upadhyay Panchayat Empowerment Award has been given in the general category to Bangarupalem in Chittoor district, Medicondur in Guntur district, Ramachandrapuram in Chittoor district and Chennaiur in YSR Kadapa district.

Talking about Kondakinda of Bondapalle mandal in Vizianagaram district, Vemulakota of Markapuram mandal of Prakasam district and Angalakuduru village panchayats of Tenali mandal here in Guntur district. After this, Chelluru in Rayavaram mandal area of Western district, Kurichedu in Prakasam district and Kattaveram gram panchayat of Tenali mandal area of Guntur district have been given in the general category. Along with this, prizes have been given to Moolasthanam of East Godavari district under Bal Mitra Panchayat Award under Nanaji Deshmukh National Honored Gram Sabha Award.
