Andhra Pradesh: Slip of Jerusalem found in Tirupati temple, BJP uproar

Visakhapatnam: RTC  ticket with a travel slip to Jerusalem found inside a Hindu temple in Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh. Then the controversy arose. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) alleged that efforts are being made to  Christianization the holy city of Hindus. The BJP also questioned Andhra Pradesh CM Jaganmohan Reddy, saying Jagan Reddy had refused to burn lamps as per Hindu tradition during his visit to the US.

A few months ago, a theft case came to light at a Tirupati temple in Andhra Pradesh. During that time, the then Cm N.K. Taking serious note of the incident of three crowns stolen from The Govind Raja Swami temple in Tirupati, Chandrababu Naidu had directed the police to take immediate steps to nab the culprits.

Officials had informed that three crowns of 1,351 grams worth about Rs 50 lakh were stolen from Tirupati temple. The Tirupati city police had formed nine teams to resolve the case.
