Andhra Pradesh: Special CS reviews coronavirus scenario in Kurnool district


TIRUPATI: State special chief secretary for health, medical and family welfare Dr KS Jawahar Reddy reviewed the COVID-19 scenario amidst relaxation of lockdown in the Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday.


Accompanied by Kurnool and Anantapur district collectors, SP and other officials of the district administration state, the special CS inspected the COVID-19 screening measures at the AP-Telangana interstate border in Kurnool district on Wednesday.



Later, Dr KS Jawahar Reddy held a review meeting with the district collectors of Kurnool and Anantapur where the collectors briefed on the COVID-19 scenario in their respective districts.

During the review the district collectors were advised to keep a strong tab on the movement of people at the interstate borders of Telangana and Karnataka duly following COVID-19 screening measures at the interstate checkposts in both Kurnool and Anantapur districts.

Appreciating the efforts put in by the officials of the district administration, police personnel, municipal staff and most importantly doctors and paramedic staff in flattening the COVID-19 curve in Anantapur and Kurnool districts, special CS directed officials to ensure there is no spurt in the novel coronavirus cases despite the relaxation of lockdown taking effect.
