Andhra Pradesh: Youth killed for Rs 2 in East Godavari district

VISAKHAPATNAM: A 24-year-old man was killed for two rupees at Valasapadu centre in Kakinada rural mandal in East Godavari on Saturday night. According to the police, Revu Suvarna Raju (24), along with his friend came to a cycle shop owned by Pilli Samba Murthy.

A dispute broke out when Raju refused to pay Rs 2.

As the quarrel intensified, Samba Murthy and his friend Karnani Appa Rao attacked Suvrna Raju and stabbed him in his stomach with a iron tool. A severely injured Suvarna Raju was admitted to the Government General Hospital in Kakinada. He died soon after. Kakinada DSP Karanam Kumar and Inspector Govinda Raju visited the murder spot.
