Araku MP ties knot with childhood friend

Visakhapatnam: Araku MP Goddeti Madhavi of YSR Congress (YSRC) tied the knot with her childhood friend Kusireddy Siva Prasad at a ceremony at the bride’s residence in Sarabannapalem village in Visakhapatnam Agency. The wedding was held at 3.15 am on Friday.

Madhavi and Siva Prasad were classmates at a school at Narsipatnam in Visakhapatnam district and became friends while studying for the SSC in 2007.

Siva Prasad is employed at the St Teresa College in Narsipatnam.

Madhavi is the only daughter of Goddeti Demudu, who was a senior leader of the Communist Party of India (CPI) and two-time MLA from erstwhile Chintapalle assembly constituency in Visakhapatnam Agency.

Before entering politics, Madhavi was a physical education teacher. The 28-year-old contested and won from Araku parliamentary constituency in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

Siva Prasad’s father Kusireddy Narayana Murthy and Madhavi’s father Demudu were also friends.

YSRC leaders Dadi Veerabhadra Rao, Narsipatnam MLA P Umasankar Ganesh, and others were present. The newly-weds will host a reception for friends and relatives in Vizag city on October 22.
