Army organises multi speciality Med camp cum ex-serviceman rally in commemoration of Late NB Sub chuni Lal, AC, VrC, SM at Bhadarwah

Indian Army organised a Multi Speciality medical camp in collaboration with Civil Administration, Doda and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super Specialty hospital for Ex-servicemen and general public of Chenab Valley at Dandi Hospital, Bhaderwah commemorating the martyrdom attained by Late Nb Sub Chuni Lal, Ashok Chakra, Veer Chakra, Sena Medal of 8th Jammu And Kashmir Light Infantry, son of the soil of village Bhara, Bhaderwah on 24 Jun 2007.


A total of eight specialists in the field of ENT, Medicine, Gynecology, Dental, Cardiology, Surgery, Ophthalmology & Oncology, six Medical officers and technical staff from Army, civil & Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super specialty hospital attended the camp. A total of 3170 patients to include Veer naris, widows, Ex-Servicemen, their families and local populace from far flung villages incl Gujjars & Bakkarwals reaped benefit from this camp.


An Ex-Servicemen rally was also organized to inform the veterans about their entitlements and various welfare schemes being extended by central and state government and to assist them in mitigating issues related to pension, healthcare and re-employment.  The Medical Camp was inaugurated by Shri Shanker Dass (Father) and Mrs Chinta Devi (Wife) of Late Nb Sub Chuni Lal, Ashok Chakra, Veer Chakra, Sena Medal in presence of Senior Army and Civil Administration officers. Ex-Servicemen and local population of Chenab valley applauded the efforts of Indian Army for provisioning specialist doctors at their doorsteps.
