Arun Jaitley's ashes to be immersed in Haridwar today, senior BJP leader to be present

Haridwar: The ashes of senior BJP leader and former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will be flown into the river Ganga in Haridwar today. Arun Jaitley's ashes will be taken to Haridwar at 12 noon on Monday. Senior BJP leaders will also be present along with their family members during his temporary immersion.

Arun Jaitley has been cremated at Nigambodh Ghat in Delhi on Thursday. Arun Jaitley was given a face-lift by his son, Rohan. Several top leaders including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh were present during the meeting. The eyes of all those present at the funeral of former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley were named. After immersing Arun Jaitley's bones, a tribute meeting will also be held in the afternoon at Harki Padi in Haridwar. All senior BJP leaders are also likely to attend the prayer meeting.

Arun Jaitley passed away at AIIMS in Delhi on Saturday at the age of 66. He was admitted to AIIMS hospital on 9th August for shortness of breath. Earlier last year, his kidney was also transplanted, after which he had distanced himself from politics.
