ASI attempts suicide in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: Assistant sub inspector K Narasimha of Manchal police station in Rachakonda commissionerate of Hyderabad, attempted suicide by setting himself ablaze near Balapur police station on Friday evening. Narasimha was recently transferred from Balapur police station to Manchal police station.

On Friday evening, Narasimha climbed a water tank opposite to Balapur police station and doused himself with petrol. As he set himself ablaze, four cops from Balapur police station quickly went for his rescue. "They doused the flames and brought Narasimha down. He was rushed to nearby hospital for treatment. As of now it appears like Narasimha was upset about the transfer," said a Rachakonda police official.
