He asked to go to the ascetic monk Chintamani in the forest north of Kushanagari (ancient name of Kannauj). Shriram Pushpak came to Kannauj on the plane with Sita, Lakshmana, Guru Vishwamitra and Hanuman.

Mata Sita made food for the Brahmins at Chintamani Ghat with her own hands. This place is known as Sita Rasoi. Even today, his ruins (left pieces of broken objects) exist. It is also the Yagyashala, where Shri Ram performed the yajna. Please tell that Muni Chintamani was the vice-chancellor of Vishwamitra's father Raja Gadhi (King of Kannauj). People claim that it is mentioned in Srimad Bhagwat.

Charan Padukas are still worshipped today

Ramsevak Das, the head priest of the temple, states that Lord Shriram left his footsteps at Chintamani Ghat for the welfare of the Brahmins, who are enshrined in the temple here. There are also about ten places in the temple premises, the footprints of God, which are still present on the rocks. Devotees worship the Padukas every Sunday.

Ram's name emerges on the tree

There is a thousand of years old Kadamb tree on the ghat. The villagers say that on removing the bark of the tree, the shape of the name Ram comes on the trunk. It is believed that every wish is fulfilled here. 50-year-old Nandram said this ghat was earlier known as Ramghat. Villagers call the Kadamb tree the name of Ram. Prithviraj says that we have heard about the arrival of the Lord from the ancestors. Ever since the senses are handled, looking at the tree in the same shape.
