Malappuram: A two-month-old girl child who went missing with her mother during a train journey from Pattambi to Feroke was found dead inside an old building near Tirur railway station on Monday night. The child’s mother, Prajisha, 38, a resident of Guruvayur, was found unconscious near the railway track.

Police said the woman and the child were traveling in the Coimbatore-Mangaluru passenger train from Pattambi to Feroke on Sunday.

Her relatives were waiting for their arrival at the Feroke railway station. As the woman did not reach Feroke, her uncle lodged a missing complaint with the station authorities.
