Baghpat: 5-year-old boy's body exhumed after mysterious death
MEERUT: A 5-year-old boy's body was found hanging from a door six feet above the ground on Tuesday morning in a Baghpat’s Sarurupur village. Relatives buried him hurriedly. Sensing something amiss, police has exhumed the body and sent for post mortem.
According to police sources, the incident happened while the family was away and child was alone in the house.
But police was not informed about the incident and body was buried soon after.
Ishwar Singh, child’s father, runs a repair shop for electronic items and mother works as a cleaner in a nearby school. Both were absent from the house when incident took place. It was only his elder sister in the house who first saw her brother Diyansh hanging and informed others. He was immediately taken to hospital but was declared brought dead.
“When we reached the spot and enquired about the incident, it came to light that the body was hanging six feet above the ground with a stoll which is not possible for a child to do it himself. After exhumation of body, we found injury marks also on the face of the body. There is a possibility, he was murdered. Investigations are on”, said Shiv Prakash, Station Officer Baraut police station. The deceased was four among siblings.
