Bajpai: Bringing Priyanka just before poll shows Rahul failed
GORAKHPUR: “Bringing Priyanka in active politics just before Lok Sabha elections proves that Congress national president Rahul Gandhi has failed,” said BJP former state president, Laxmikant Bajpai in a private programm in Kushinagar district on Wednesday.
On surgical strike, Bajpai said, “BJP won’t take electoral benefit of surgical strike as our party didn’t discuss about surgical strike but Pakistan tweeted about the strike first and informed the entire world.
If opposition parties raise questions on valour of our armed forces, reply will be given.”
On being asked about ‘big alliances’, Bajpai said, “The parties forming alliances aren’t contesting elections on merit but on the basis of caste. They have nothing to offer and all the opposition parties are joining hands to stop Modi ji but Modi is the need of country.”
On announcement of candidates he said, “In BJP candidates are selected on the basis of merit and there are many sources and standards of merit to decide a candidate which will take time. However, the party workers will support whosoever gets the ticket.”
